GANDHINAGER, WNS; The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the continuance of rainfall across Gujarat in the next 4-5 days. While heavy rainfall is predicted at isolated places in the state, light to moderate rainfall is also expected at many places, IMD said.

The rainfall is expected under the influence of a trough that runs from southeast Rajasthan. Rains are also expected under the influence of a cyclonic circulation associated with low pressure over the northwest Bay of Bengal.

Mercury in Ahmedabad

As per IMD, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad till Saturday (August 15) will remain within 31-33 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature during this period will remain around 24-25 degrees Celsius.

Met officials said the city and its adjoining areas will witness a generally cloudy sky with light to moderate rainfall throughout the week. Also, by August 14, there are chances of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall. Meteorologists said the intensity of rainfall might increase by the end of the week.
