CMS students selected in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna of Govt. of India

Lucknow, 18 March : Two meritorious students of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus namely Parth Bansal and Shreyansh Singh have qualified the first stage of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY Fellowship) of Government of India, bringing laurels for the institution. They will be taking the second round, the interview, to be able to get the KVPY Fellowship. This fellowship of Rs. 4,64,000/- is given to the selected students during the five years of their higher studies. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed that this fellowship scheme is a very enterprising project of the Government of India to encourage the undergraduate students to opt for research career and it is coordinated by Indian Science Centre, Bengaluru. The outstanding students are passed through aptitude test and interview to qualify for the fellowship. The selected students can avail the facility of famous national laboratory, university and library in any part of India for free, by showing their ID cards.

            Mr Sharma further stated that CMS encourages its students to move ahead by participating in different creative and innovative competitions. This is one reason CMS students are raising the school flag high by winning various competitions and leaving their footprints on the sands of time.
